Become a Mentor.

Through fun activities and exposing a child to new experiences, mentors encourage positive choices, promote high self-esteem, and support academic achievement. Be someone that listens, offers friendship, guidance and encouragement to a young person. You’ll be amazed by how much you’ll get out of the experience.

Becoming a mentor is valuable, fun, and as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Requirements

  1. Must be 18 years or older.
  2. Fill out an application.
  3. Attend a training session.
  4. Pass background check.
  5. Begin changing a life.

Commitment

In order to become a mentor, you must commit to one hour a week for one full year of mentor responsibilities. To make a difference, you have to be there. A full year of commitment promotes trust, confidence, and stability within the student, which are all crucial components for life changing effects.

Training

Training sessions are held all year round. During your session, you will learn more about the requirements and receive tips on how to make a difference. You don’t need special skills, though, ALL mentors are required to attend a training session.

If you are not sure you want to commit to becoming a mentor, but would like to know more, you are welcome to join our training sessions to see if mentoring is right for you!
